KloseUp Allows Easy Creation and Sharing of 3D Movie Clips

KloseUp's mission is "to let creative users create 3D graphical content, without so much of effort and knowledge in 3D graphics." Says Sung Joon Park, the CEO: "We understand that not everyone can easily create 3D movies, and therefore we created a solution that allows people to create 3D movies without difficulty."

KloseUp provides library of short movie clips that users can take and customize to fit their needs. Users can create their own 3D movie clips using the library: characters, motions, and the backgrounds are all customizable. Then users can share the finished 3D movie clip with others.



For example, user can send the created 3D movie clip as an MMS message from his mobile phone. This is what KloseUp calls "Story Message service". Users browse video clip gallery, choose the one they want to use, and customize message to create their custom video MMS message.



KloseUp is the product of 7 years of effort to build the 3D movie authoring tool, Park says. KloseUp is now a Korea-only service, but the company plans to launch international version soon.

There are several other companies that offer some bits of features, such as allowing users to create their own 3D avatars, but none of those services do exactly what KloseUp does, i.e. letting users create their own 3D movies.

KloseUp also won the Content 360, the international digital and multiplatform content competition which took place at MIPTV in Cannes, France.
